The release of Ashutosh Gowariker's film Jodha Akbar starring Hritik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which was supposed to release on the 25th of January 2008, has been delayed because Ashutosh has been bedridden with acute back pain. The perfectionist that Ashutosh is, he supervises everything right from the background music to the dubbing and the editing. This he has not been able to do because of his illness. Hence the delay. The music of Jodha Akbar has also been delayed as UTV is releasing the music under their own banner (Their new music label). Previously the music rights were given to BIG music but due to some differences, UTV decided to release it themselves. All in all it seems that Jodha
Akbar has started on a wrong footing what with all the delays. But everyone who has seen the promos and the look of the film swear that this one's a winner. Moreover, Hritik Roshan(who plays Akbar) is also not sparing any effort for promoting the film. He is already in talks with Ashutosh and Aishwarya Rai (the heroine of the film-she plays Jodha Bai) on how to go about promoting this movie.Jodha-Akbar is a lavishly mounted, dream-like film which probably was never seen
on Indian screens after Moghul-e-Azam, maybe. Bollywood insiders and Hritik Roshan fans are keeping their fingers crossed and hoping that this film does what Lagaan did for Aamir Khan.We wish Oscar nominee, Ashutosh Gowariker, a speedy recovery so that he can resume work on his magnum opus. I personally love the Khwaja number. Found its lyrics on freehindilyrics.com and think the song is very well written. A R Rehman has done full justice to Jodhaa Akbar’s songs
